Shot in North Carolina in 1996, in 16mm, this 15-minute documentary received a certificate of merit from the 1997 San Francisco International Golden Gate Awards Film Festival. Featuring several people from the North Carolina hemophilia community, produced and directed by Ken Piaskowski, with the Director of Photography Christine Leahy, A Drop of Blood portrays a brief history of hemophilia and its treatments and bugaboos. Ms Leahy is an independent film maker/photographer residing in Wilmington, NC. Garden of Light is another of her projects.
